It was an amazing experience !

Hey Everybody,
How's it going? Things here in New Mexico are great! We set three baptismal dates last week and it was amazing to fulfill our purpose as missionaries. The first experience I would like to talk about was last Friday. Elder Soffe and I were having companion study and we were talking about an appointment we had that day. Originally we had planned to read a chapter out of the Book of Mormon with him and we read it together. (A little background on our investigator is that he has been investigating the church for a while now and hasn’t really made any big steps since they’ve been teaching him.) But I had a strong spiritual prompting that we should ask him to be baptized. So Elder Soffe and I did a lot of praying and practicing teaching concerns that he may have. We went to his appointment and we tore it up. The spirit there was strong and he accepted our baptismal date. We were so pumped cause it was just the right time.
I know that sometimes we may get scared but if we have the spirit work through us then we are doing our part and god will bless us. It was an amazing experience and a testimony builder! We had Dustin's baptism on Saturday and it went really well. He has come a long way and his dad was really excited. One of our investigators showed up to the baptism and he really liked it because he’s going to be in the same situation in about two weeks.
It’s been such a blessing to be in Carlsbad for my first area back from surgery. I know that God put me through that trial for a reason and that he is preparing people for us to teach the gospel. We saw an example of him preparing people yesterday. We walked outside of our apartment yesterday afternoon right when this black man was walking by. We went and talked to him and found out that he was from Kenya. We got to know him a little bit and talked to him about prophets and he enjoyed it all. We got a return appointment for this Friday so we are praying that he accepts the gospel and accepts what we teach him.
I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be serving the Lord. He is blessing Elder Soffe and I so much! It really has come down to our diligence and obedience. We are putting our trust in the Lord and he is providing. Thanks for all that you do everyone!! I love you all! Keep on keepin on!

Love Elder Weston Reay
